DeafNation and Purple LIVE Webcast – Dream Bigger!
DeafNation will feature a LIVE webcast of Purple’s 2009 Trailblazer of the Year Gala event!
Purple’s 2009 Trailblazer of the Year Gala will honor ten Deaf leaders whose achievements have opened up opportunities for others and positively impacted the Deaf community nationwide.
Also at the event, Purple will announce Deaf community’s choice for Purple’s 2009 Trailblazer of the year, a designation that provides the winner with a $10,000 donation on their behalf to the Deaf charity of their choice, as well as an unforgettable vacation for two.
The evening’s keynote address will be given by nationally recognized presenter Lauren Teruel Ridloff, educator and former Miss Deaf America.

Congratulations to Tate Tullier winning the 2009 Trailblazer of the Year.
I was hoping for Deaf people of Color such as Laurene Simms to be in this contest. Laurene Simms has done many wonders for the Deaf Community.

John, the ten of us trailblazers agree with you. We made that suggestion to Purple this past weekend. If they do another trailblazer campaign – I’m sure it’ll be on their mind!
