BIRTHDAY BENEFIT
You didn’t hear this from us, but Atlanta Falcons player Jamaal Anderson has quite the impressive guest list shaping up for his 23rd birthday soiree tonight at Esso nightclub on Memorial Drive.
In addition to Atlanta teammates like Jonathan Babineaux, John Abraham, Chauncey Davis, Grady Jackson and Chris Houston, sports fans can expect to see San Diego Charger Darren Sproles and Chicago Bear Marcus Harrison. Oh, and pop superstar Nelly is also due to drop by.
Friday night’s open-to-the- public event is a kickoff for the Jamaal Anderson Foundation’s programs for the hearing impaired. And we’re told that No. 98 himself also will be making a donation to the National Black Deaf Advocates.
Look for the first stretch Hummers to begin pulling up about 11:30.
Amy Cohen Efron here: Wooo hooo! Just found out an hour ago… I think it is very generous of Jamaal to set up his foundation that will benefit Deaf people, and his choice of this specific organization, National Black Deaf Advocates, is a very good one!

If I was nearby and knew about this event especially with Darren Sproles being there too….he’ll be the first for me to approach, why? I’ll cream-face him with a pie, why? he stopped the Colts from getting another SuperBowl ring this year. Darren played darn good that game.
Looks like a very good guests list for that event. Great way to get NBDA recognized by these celebrities.

How wonderful this is! His father, Glenn, has been closley connected and involved with NBDA in various capacities since its inception 27 years ago- I can imagine Jamaal growing up seeing and interacting with various NBDA members of different stripes. So this must have been an organization held closely to his heart because it is important to his father.
